When a weather event occurs near, in, or around Florida, like Hurricane Helene did within the past 24 hours my phone and email becomes inundated with messages regarding the event. Many messages are from family and clients checking in to see how we did during the storm and to be sure we are okay. Thank goodness our area did better than other areas and is prepared to handle future events, Thank you for checking in on us! Our Heart goes out to the areas that were hit hard by this major Hurricane. Other messages are from people or potential clients that I may have spoken with previously about purchasing a home in Southwest Florida wanting to know how well the area did and if prices will come down due to the event.

Will Florida survive the rising cost of insurance, does it make sense to make a move to Florida, can I afford to move to Florida. All great questions to ask yourself before exploring the thought of moving to Florida.

Of course only you can answer the questions for the motivations in which you choose to move to a tropical environment within the United States, and there are many, more than I can respond to in this little blog article. 

Mother Nature is constantly on the move testing the boundaries of cultural development. Construction technology is rapidly changing to keep up with the challenges that she and other unknown variables are thrown, including energy costs.
